Car Show News Write-up

Hi Guys. Sorry I haven't gotten a chance to post the photos from the car show yet, but they will be up soon. To keep you occupied for the time being, here is the news article about the show, describing the events of the day in detail. Enjoy.

Annual Rollin’ Relics Car Show

On Saturday, May 2nd, Porterville’s Rollin’ Relics Car Club held their Ninth Annual Car and Motorcycle Show. Bad weather caused cancellation of the pre-registration cruise night the previous evening. The next morning, even the threat of rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of 107 car enthusiasts from as far away as El Dorado Hills as they began arriving at Veteran’s Park in Porterville for the annual show. By the time the show opened the sun was shining as Yvonne Fiori sang The National Anthem. All thru the day, large crowds of faithful spectators showed up and took their time roaming through out the beautiful cars. Whether dreaming or reminiscing, everyone appeared to be having a wonderful day.

Despite the current economic woes, individuals and sponsors alike dug deep into their pockets to make this event a success. All proceeds earned goes back into the local community to benefit Porterville youth activities and other community projects.

Seven Major Trophies were awarded to the following:
